TRANSPORTATION DETAILS
IF YOU ARE DRIVING: The summit will be held in the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University. Park in the Red Hawk Parking Deck on the campus of Montclair State University. We’ll give you a pass so parking will be free. From there you can walk to the School of Communication and Media; exit out of the parking deck on the 4th floor and walk straight ahead on to campus; you’ll see construction directly in front of you. Veer along the walking path to the left of the construction and follow the path that hugs the construction fence straight back. The School of Communication and Media Building will be ahead and to the left at the end of the path.
IF YOU TAKE THE TRAIN: On NJ Transit, take the Montclair-Boonton Line and get off at Montclair Heights, NOT at the Montclair State University stop. (There are several stops in Montclair.) Coming off the train, you will make a right onto Normal Avenue and cross the street, walking on the edge of campus. Make a left on College Avenue and walk on to campus. You’ll pass our Red Hawk statue and College Hall, which is under construction, on your right. After you walk past College Hall, follow the walking path that veers right and hugs the construction fence; follow that path straight back and the School of Communication and Media Building will be ahead and to the left at the end of the path.
IF YOU ARE FLYING IN: Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the closest airport. If flying in to Newark doesn’t work for you, you could also fly in to NYC and drive or take public transit in to New Jersey.
IF YOU USE RIDE-SHARING: If you plan to use a ride-sharing service to get to the summit, we’ll be setting up a special $5-off coupon through Lyft. We’ll all registrants the code closer to the event date.
HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS
There are many hotel options in the Montclair area, and of course many more in NYC if you plan to stay there.
For those looking for a hotel close to campus, we recommend the La Quinta Inn & Suites Clifton/Rutherford.
