What you missed at the 2019 Collaborative Journalism Summit

First, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made it out to Philadelphia this year for the 2019 Collaborative Journalism Summit. Thank you for sharing your experiences, your insights and yourself. It was a spectacular event because of you. Yes, you!

Not only did it break all of our records for attendance (we will order way more food next year), but the survey results so far have been fantastic. The Center is grateful. Our mission with this event is to inform and connect journalists and help the industry move forward. I believe we did just that.

Now, on to the good stuff:

Video playlist: Here are the uncut videos from the conference. We will piece them up by presentation this coming month, but for now, you can dive in to these versions.

Slides: Here are all the slides from the presenters at the Summit. We are missing a few that I hope to get in there yet this week.

PhotosLots and lots of photos live here, taken by Leslie Barbaro and our amazing student photographers.

Attendee listICYMI, here it is.

Survey: If you still haven’t taken our quick survey, please give us some feedback.

And last, yes, we will have a Collaborative Journalism Summit in 2020. We’ll decide what we’re doing for 2021 after that, depending on interest and state of the industry at the time.

We’re not sure where the 2020 Summit will be hosted yet, so if you want to pitch a place, let us know: summit@collaborativejournalism.org. We heard loud and clear that Philly was a good choice because of ease of travel and the ability to visit innovative news organizations in the city.

Thanks again, and we’ll see you next year!
