The 2020 Collaborative Journalism Summit is going virtual!

The 2020 Collaborative Journalism Summit is set for May 14-15 and will be conducted in place instead of in person.

We’re moving from an in-person event to an in-place event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That means wherever you are, you’ll just need a device and an internet connection to participate! (We’re definitely not giving up on all of our plans for North Carolina, however! We fully intend to host the 2021 Collaborative Journalism Summit in Charlotte.) It’s a huge change, but one we’re getting excited about.

Join us May 14-15 for the 2020 Collaborative Journalism Summit!

The 2020 Collaborative Journalism Summit is set for May 14–15 and will be hosted in place. That means you’ll just need a device and Internet connection to participate! The Summit will feature two days of workshops, panels, roundtables, networking and socializing about all things collaborative journalism. Registration is free thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

We’ll post the full conference schedule and the list of speakers in early spring.

Registration is now open!

Meanwhile, click the button below on the right to learn about the remaining sponsorship opportunities for the Summit.

Join us for a pre-conference workshop with PressOn!

We’ve teamed up with Press On, a southern collective for movement journalism, to host a workshop on 5/13 called “Transforming Journalism Beyond Diversity.” The workshop will be facilitated by Lewis Raven Wallace and Mia Henry of Press On.

The training is offered on a sliding scale from $25-$125 per person. Registration is limited, and once you are accepted, scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants must register by April 1, 2020 to participate.
