DELANEY BUTLER

Assistant director, Collaborative Journalism Resource Hub

Delaney Butler (she/her) is the assistant director of the Center’s Collaborative Journalism Resource Hub. She oversees new collaborative projects, connects with and coaches journalists and organizations interested in collaboration, and maintains a specialization in operations and governance. Prior to joining the Center, she was the program operations manager at Solutions Journalism Network, where she connected and coordinated operational processes for SJN’s programmatic work. She joined SJN in 2018 as an operations associate before joining the dedicated team of the Knight-supported Local Media Project. She led the operational start-up and scaffolding process for the initiative before overseeing collaborative projects and facilitating the initiative’s cohort of project managers. Before SJN, Delaney worked at Prudential Financial’s Office of Corporate Social Responsibility, where she held coordination and support roles in the Spirit of Community Awards program (now the Prudential Emerging Visionaries program) and the Prudential Foundation. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature from New York University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Born and raised in Morris County, she now lives in Manhattan.
