How the Center for Public Integrity approaches partnerships across the U.S.: The Center for Public Integrity works to make investigative journalism accessible to communities affected by the topics it confronts. It believes that journalism talent lives everywhere and that by each partner sharing their superpowers we can amplify investigative reporting to reach anyone. It recognizes that newsrooms in communities across the country are emerging and might be under-resourced, so CPI creates space for local partners to determine their own level of engagement with our collaborations. Through listening, their team builds trust and work to understand the of capacity and needs of partners. This means that no two collaborations look the same and that’s OK, because no two communities are exactly the same.
