TRANSPORTATION DETAILS

The Philadelphia Inquirer/Lenfest Institute is located at 801 Market St. in the Market East section of Center City Philadelphia.

WHYY is located at 150 N. Sixth St. on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, between Race and Arch Streets.

FROM THE NORTH
Travel South on I-95. Take I-676 Center City exit. Turn right onto Callowhill Street; turn left on Sixth Street. Stay on Sixth Street for about three blocks. WHYY will be on your right, just south of Race Street. It’s a two-story building with a curved glass front.

FROM THE SOUTH
Take I-95 North to I-676, Independence Hall, Central Philadelphia. Stay in right lane of the exit ramp, for Callowhill Street. Continue in right lane and follow signs to 6th Street, heading south. Stay on Sixth Street for about three blocks. WHYY will be on your right, just south of Race Street. It’s a two-story building with a curved glass front.

FROM NEW JERSEY (BEN FRANKLIN BRIDGE)
Stay in the right-hand lane coming over the bridge; and turn right for Callowhill Street, 6th Street and Independence Hall area. Turn right and you will be on 6th Street, heading south. Stay on Sixth Street for about two blocks.

FROM I-76 EAST (SCHUYLKILL EXPRESSWAY)
Follow I-76 to I-676 East (Central Philadelphia); stay in the left lanes as the exit will be off to your left; stay on I-676 East (Central Philadelphia). Follow I-676 to the Ben Franklin Bridge exit; stay in right lane, turn right on 6th Street. WHYY will be on your right, just south of Race Street. It’s a two-story building with a curved glass front.

FROM THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE
Take exit 326 (Valley Forge). Proceed to I-76 eastbound. Follow directions above. It is about 17 miles from the Turnpike to I-676 in central Philadelphia.

FROM I-76 WEST (SCHUYLKILL EXPRESSWAY)
Follow I-76 West to I-676 (Central Philadelphia); stay on 676 East (Central Philadelphia). Follow I-676 to Ben Franklin Bridge exit; stay in right lane, which turns into 6th Street. Stay on Sixth Street for about three blocks. WHYY will be on your right, just south of Race Street. It’s a two-story building with a curved glass front.

IF YOU TAKE THE TRAIN: To get to WHYY, take the SEPTA Market-Frankford line to 8th Street (8th & Market) or 5th Street (5th & Market). Walk to 6th Street. Walk two blocks north to entrance of WHYY. SEPTA regional rail service is also close by at the Market East station. The PATCO High Speed Line to New Jersey stops at 8th and Market.

IF YOU ARE FLYING IN: Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the closest and most convenient airport.

IF YOU USE RIDE-SHARING: If you need rideshare: We will provide a discount through Lyft prior to the conference.

The weekend after the Summit leads into Penn’s Monday commencement, so the city will be bustling and hotels are pricey.
